Hardly anyone can travel through east Texas without seeing the humorous Buc-ee’s billboards all along I-10. If you have never been into a Buc-ee’s before, stop next time you see one. You will not regret passing up the other convenience stores to stop at a Buc-ee’s. It is a popular stop, especially with the kids—who love to look at all the beaver paraphernalia.
I seek out the pralines that are sold there, which are easily the best I have ever had. At the beginning, middle, or end of a long road trip, Buc-ee’s makes a perfect place to stop, rest, and re-energize on a long trip. With gas prices constantly on the rise, it is rarely a treat to stop at a gas station, but Buc-ee’s seems to “Buc” that rule.
I hope that Buc-ee’s will soon spread out into South Louisiana, so that my family can more fully enjoy what Buc-ee’s billboards always claim are the “cleanest bathrooms”.
